Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PDFBase website, applications and APIs (the "Service"), provided by The Verified Group Ltd trading as PDFBase("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
PDFBase converts photographs, scans and source documents into structured records. Output quality depends on the source material; we do not guarantee any specific level of extraction accuracy.
2. Your account & data
You retain ownership of all content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service. We do not sell your data and we do not use customer content to train third-party AI models.
3. Acceptable use
- No uploading of content you do not have the right to process.
- No use that breaches applicable law, including UK GDPR.
- No reverse engineering or interference with the Service.
4. Subscriptions, pilots & fees
Fees, pilot terms and usage limits are agreed in writing or in an order form. Unless otherwise stated, fees are exclusive of VAT.
5. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, update features or discontinue parts of the Service.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
